Sermon Series – Isaiah
No Comments
In October, November and December 2011 the morning services will feature preaching from the Prophecy of Isaiah.
Though Isaiah prophecied over 700 years before Christ, the Apostle John wrote in his Gospel “Isaiah… saw Jesus’ glory and wrote about him.”
Isaiah’s majestic portrait of Christ as Emmanuel (God with us), the Prince of Peace, a Suffering Servant pierced for our transgressions, and anointed to preach good news to the poor and bind up the broken hearted is startling in its detailed accuracy.
Little wonder that, apart from the Psalms, Isaiah is the Old Testament book that is most quoted in the New.
