Position within the Church: Associate Minister.
How long have you been a Christian? Since 1979.
How and why did you become a Christian? I was brought up going to church but stopped as a teenager. In May 1979 I heard David Watson speaking on Revelation 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me’. That was the night I properly received God into my life and it’s been an amazing journey together since then.
What are your hobbies and interests? 1, spending time with my family, 2, going out for coffee with friends, 3, learning to play the piano. 4, watching Newcastle United play football!,
Do you have any family who attend church? I am married to Rob. We have two daughters, Laura and Kathryn who is married to John and they are members of the church worship team.
What are your aspirations for All Saints’ Church for the next 12 months? 1, To deliver service to our community in the Queens Golden Jubilee Celebrations, the “Love Stockton” Mission and during the Olympic Games activities.2,To continue to show to the people of our parish that we are a vibrant Christian Community who pray for them and want to share Gods love with them.
What are your long-term desires for All Saints’ Church? That we would grown in knowledge and love of Jesus and be a church fulfilling our mission statement. That we would grow as a centre for prayer and worship and be a place where people feel welcome and at home, Where we can meet with Jesus and, as a church and as individuals grow towards becoming the people God created us to be.
Finally, what has been the best advice/guidance that somebody has given you as a Christian? To seek an intimate relationship with Jesus by prayer, reading the Bible and worship, and to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Everything else in life flows from that.
