Treasure Seekers is a ministry that serves residents in a local centre for adults with learning difficulties.
A small team visits the centre about once a month with an interactive Bible story, presented in such a way that residents become part of the story too. There is usually an easy-to-learn song, a craft activity and refreshments as well during which team members spend time with residents and staff.
The name Treasure Seekers comes from one of Jesus’ parables: The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. (Matthew 13.44)
We believe that God treasures these unique people too and this ministry aims to help them know how special they are to Him.
