We engage in two main forms of prayer in our Sunday morning services: intercessions and prayer ministry.
If you are involved in helping to lead our intercessions, please read these Intercessory Prayer Guidelines. They are designed to help you lead our prayers in a way that will honour God and inspire his people.
We also offer prayer ministry during and after most of our 10.30am services, led by a regularly trained team. Our Prayer Ministry Guidelines, set out the model of ministry our team works with.
Ten times a year (usually the first Sunday of the month) people meet in the Centre on Sundays (6pm – 7.30pm) to pray. Ablaze is quite structured so that all areas of church life and local/world mission are covered over the year. There is time for sung worship, testimony of answered prayer and short exhortations from the Bible. Upcoming dates are published on the Prayer Notice Board in the Hall to the right of the serving hatch.
Half-Nights of Prayer
About four times a year, we hold a half-night of prayer (7pm till Midnight) in the Chapel. This is an unplanned time of coming before God to seek his face and pray into the things that the Holy Spirit brings to mind. People stay for as long as they can – there is no expectation of anyone staying the whole time! Upcoming dates are published on the Prayer Notice Board in the Hall to the right of the serving hatch.
About once a term, All Saints’ holds a Prayer Breakfast in the Centre on a Saturday morning from 8.30am till 10.30am.
It’s a great way to enjoy fellowship together over croissants, cereals and bacon rolls – and to pray as a church for important things coming up. Upcoming dates are published on the Prayer Notice Board in the Hall to the right of the serving hatch.
Every now and again, prayer walks around the area that surrounds the church are organised. They are publicised through the weekly notice sheet.
On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday each week there is Morning Prayer in the Chapel from 9.00am till 9.30am.
Every so often an updated version of our 30-Day Prayer Diary is published. The day’s items for prayer also appear on the church Facebook group page each morning. The Prayer Diary contains the names of church members who have asked to be included as well as church ministries and local mission partners. You can e-mail the church office if you want to add your name to this or if you want to update old information.
