All Saints’ Youth Mission Statement

Our mission is to help young people become life-long followers of Jesus.

Our Youth Team

Our Youth Pastor is Kathryn Belmont, who is supported by a core team of volunteers, with whom she works closely, prays together, discusses ideas, evaluates the programme and builds relationships. All Saints’ works closely with Tees Valley Youth for Christ.

Our Values

We want to; share who Jesus is with the young people in our communities, introduce young people to church in a relevant way, show all young people that they are loved by God and by us, make church a place where young people feel at home, inspire every young person we meet to live a life for Jesus, help young people to be rooted in Jesus, raise up young Christian leaders, send out young people to the mission field.

Discipleship

Life Groups

We run midweek groups that are age-specific and focused on young people sharing life and learning more about God’s amazing plan for their lives.

Life Group nights include time to hang out with friends, games, reading the Bible together, discussions on life and faith, activities based on the theme of the night, and time to reflect on and pray about what we have discussed. Life Groups are a brilliant opportunity to make great friends in the youth group, and to grow closer to God.

Every other week at Life Groups is a ’Streams’ night. Streams are activities based and we come together in the middle of the evening to think about how we can live out our faith as we take part in these activities. Past Streams have included; baking, chill out, revision, worship, fitness, outdoor games, bible study, dance and more!

Refresh

Refresh is youth worship event which brings together young people from across Teesside to encounter God, be transformed and change their world! Refresh happens four times per year and usually includes; time to hang out with other young people, a free cafe, live worship band, the best speakers, and an opportunity to respond in prayer! Leadership

We are passionate about investing in young Christian leaders. We want them to be equipped and encouraged to serve like Jesus. Many of our young people take part in a leadership course called Doulos, run by Tees Valley Youth for Christ.

Outreach

Youth Club

Open to young people who are in Y7-Y13, Youth Club is the best way to start your weekend! Activities include FIFA, pool, table tennis, 5-a-side football, Nintendo Switch, tuck shop, games, nail bar, craft zone, space to hang out with friends and more. We also take 10 minutes each week to gather the young people and share the importance of our Christian faith with them. Friday evening from 7pm to 9pm, term time.

Skate Park

We want to show the young people in our local community that we care about them, and engage with them in a positive way. Therefore a small team of us go over to the local skate park every Tuesday night and spend time with the young people there. We hand out free hot chocolates, chat to the young people and share a bit about our faith with them. At times they have also asked us to pray with them!

Yarm Cafe Church

A safe space for our church young people to bring their friends! Cafe Church happens four times a year at Yarm Costa and includes great snacks, live music and a short, engaging talk about the Christian faith. A great place for Christian and non-Christian young people.

Schools Work

Based at Egglescliffe School where we take assemblies for year 7, 8 and 9 students.

Summer Camps

Every summer we take a large group of young people, including some from neighbouring churches on a Summer camp. This year we attended ‘Satellites’ youth camp for the first time and the young people had the most amazing time meeting with God and spending time with each other!

Mission Trips

Roughly every other year, we take a group of young people overseas on mission. We have now organised six trips to Tijana, Mexico with Amor Ministries to build a house for a family who live in poverty.
