Prayer is how we communicate with God. And at All Saints’ we believe prayer can change things. The Bible says, ‘Pray for each other. Do this so that God can heal you. When a good person prays, great things can happen’ (James 5:16).
Why Pray
Jesus compared God to a good father who enjoys hearing from us. He instructed us to pray thank you prayers, sorry prayers, and to ask Him for things we need. Prayer is also our way of getting to know God and often hearing back from Him.
Being Prayed for
On a Sunday morning we pray together during the services and then there is the opportunity for individuals to receive prayer from a member of our trained prayer team after the service.
We offer Prayer Appointments, for extended prayer. We arrange up to three sessions, at a time convenient to you, which are confidential and conducted with a member of our trained prayer team. It might be that something big has come up in life that you would like someone to pray with you about. It might be that you feel that you are ‘stuck’ in your walk with God. People want Prayer Appointments for all sorts of things so please do make use of this excellent team.
